Redesign of Asset Pages with More Company and ETF Data

Published on 08.08.2022

In the latest Parqet update, we have fundamentally redesigned the asset and holding pages. When you search for an asset in Parqet (e.g., Apple), or click on the detail page of one of your holdings, you'll arrive at the new pages.

On one hand, in the new design, we distinguish more between the asset itself and your holding in that asset. On the other hand, we've added a lot of in-depth details for many securities.

This gives all Parqet users more capabilities to analyze securities directly in Parqet.

In the last Friday Fireside, Sumit presented the new page in detail. You can watch the stream here:

Division into Asset and Holding Pages

Since the previous division of asset and holding pages wasn't entirely obvious and could easily lead to confusion, we've made the distinction clearer in the redesign.

The asset page (in the Overview tab) always shows information that is the same for all investors. On the holding page (in the Your Holdings tab), you see your own activities and your performance for this asset.

Asset Pages with a Multitude of New Data Points

The greatest value of the new asset pages certainly lies in the wealth of information we now display on the asset pages. This includes, for example, news and company data for stocks (Apple example), as well as the composition of ETFs (Vanguard FTSE All-World example).

We've also made a number of smaller improvements, such as automatic price updates and the ability to discover new assets.

New Company Data: Fundamentals, Forecasts, News, Revenue, Historical Dividends, and more

For a multitude of stocks, we now offer a range of in-depth company information for the first time. Parqet Asset Details

Here's a selection of the information you now have access to:

  • Fundamental data (e.g., market capitalization, dividend yield, P/E ratio, etc.)
  • Analyst forecasts
  • English-language news
  • Company profile (description, employees, etc.)
  • Historical dividends
  • Company figures such as revenue and profits

The additional details are available for thousands of different companies. With new data sources that we'll tap into in the future, this number will continue to grow.

New ETF Data: ETF Composition and Master Data

In addition to deeper data on individual stocks, we've also expanded the ETF subpages with details. The most interesting aspect here is certainly the composition of ETFs. For many ETFs, you can see directly in Parqet which individual securities the ETF is invested in.

Parqet ETF Breakdown

In the first step of the redesign, we're showing the top 10 individual securities of an ETF. However, we already have the complete ETF breakdown with all individual securities in the background. We'll make these accessible to Parqet subscribers in one of the next updates.

Automatic Price Updates

Since Parqet has a direct connection to prices from various German stock exchanges, most prices on Parqet are available in real-time.

As part of the update, we now update prices not only when reloading a page, but directly in the browser. Every few seconds, the current real-time prices are automatically reloaded.

A small pulsing circle indicates when the price has been updated. The color of the circle indicates how the price has developed since the last update.

Discover Interesting Assets That Other Parqet Users Invest In

The community is an essential part of Parqet. As part of the redesign, we've built in a section for discovering assets.

At the bottom of each asset page, you'll find a selection of 10 other securities that other Parqet investors who also invest in the security you're viewing invest in.

New Holding Pages with Overview of All Your Holdings in an Asset

In addition to the new asset pages, we've also redesigned the holding pages.

Once you click on the Your Holdings tab from an asset page, you'll get an overview of all your portfolios that contain this asset.

Parqet Holding Overview

This makes it possible for the first time to directly compare the performance of different portfolios for a specific asset.

On the holding pages themselves, you now also have an overview of which other portfolios contain the asset. This allows you to easily switch between holdings in different portfolios.

What Other Features or Data Would You Like?

With the new data, a multitude of possibilities opens up for developing additional features. Whether a global filter function for fundamental data, or a chart showing the historical dividend yield - we're already itching to develop these.

What features would you like based on the new data? And what additional data would you like to see directly in Parqet? Let us know, preferably in the community.
