Real-time Crypto Prices for 500 Different Cryptocurrencies

In the first crypto release, we provide real-time prices for around 500 different cryptocurrencies. Of course, the most widely used currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Dogecoin are among these 500 currencies. Based on a community survey about crypto, we estimate that more than 95% of all cryptos traded in the community are supported.

To also cover the remaining, less frequently traded cryptos, we're already working on additional real-time connections, so the number of supported cryptocurrencies will increase to several thousand.

A dedicated asset page is available for each supported currency. For example, if you want to see the current Bitcoin price, you can simply find it through the search.

Add Cryptos to Your Parqet Portfolio

If you own cryptocurrencies, you can add them to your portfolio. The usual views and filters are available to you.

In the basic version of Parqet, you can add up to 5 cryptocurrencies. This limit is shared with other "additional assets" like cash accounts (see our pricing page). The Plus plan offers up to 25 and the Investor plan up to 50 additional assets. The limits apply across all portfolios.

Creating Crypto Activities

You can add your cryptos to Parqet just like you're used to with securities:

1. Import via Zero-Click Import

We have already adapted the zero-click import for the following brokers/exchanges. Clicking on the links takes you to instructions on where to find the files.

• Coinbase
• BSDEX

 **This means:** You can simply download the transaction files and import them via drag-and-drop into Parqet. Personal information such as your name is not read or stored.

If you want to import a large number of activities, you can also create them via CSV import. Simply download the following template, add your activities, and import it as usual.

2. Manually Creating Crypto Activities

As always, you can also create activities manually. To do this, click on the plus button at the bottom right of the screen. The activity form will open. Simply select "Crypto" as the holding type, search for the corresponding cryptocurrency, and enter the details.

3. Coming soon: Automatic Synchronization

   In addition to zero-click import and manual creation, we will also offer automatic synchronization with some crypto exchanges/wallets in the future.

Creating Swap Activities

Currently, activities in Parqet can only be created with reference to FIAT currencies. With cryptos, however, it can also happen that one cryptocurrency is used as payment to purchase another cryptocurrency. Parqet does not yet fully support this so-called swap activity, but we are already working on its implementation.

Until this activity type is completed, we recommend using the Transfer In/Transfer Out activity types. So, for example, if you pay 1 Ethereum with Bitcoin (let's say 0.06 BTC), first create a Transfer Out activity for Bitcoin in the amount of 0.06 Bitcoin. Then you can create the Transfer In for 1 ETH.

Rewarding and Staking Activities

In addition to swap activities, rewarding and staking activities also represent a new activity type for Parqet. With some cryptocurrencies, you receive a kind of dividend when holding the currency. This activity is not yet supported in the first release.

Before we work on supporting this activity type, we would like to know to what extent this feature is desired in the community. If you own cryptos with rewarding/staking, please let us know by upvoting in the feedback tool. Simply search for Crypto: Support for Rewarding and Staking Activities and cast your vote.

Manage Your Cryptos Through a Separate Settlement Account

With the settlement account feature, Parqet users can map the actual payment flows in a simplified and bundled way.

With the introduction of crypto, you can now choose whether a cash account should serve as a settlement account for securities, and/or cryptos in your portfolio. You can make the setting when managing the corresponding cash holding.

Crypto Table and Filters for Dashboards

When adding cryptocurrencies, a new holding table is automatically created, as you're already used to from cash. Additionally, there's a detail page for each cryptocurrency with charts and further details on price development, performance, etc.

Once a portfolio contains cryptos, additional filters are available in the various dashboards for Parqet subscribers to view cryptos separately from, for example, stocks and ETFs.

Add Cryptos to Watchlist

If you're interested in the price development of various cryptocurrencies but don't have them in your portfolio (yet), you can also add them to a watchlist. The currencies can easily be found through the search and added to a watchlist as usual.

Limited Crypto Support in the iOS App

The iOS app only supports cryptocurrency in a very limited way at the beginning. For example, not all views are available. It's also currently not possible to add crypto activities. We're currently working on a fundamental overhaul of the iOS app (and Android!), which is why we prefer to use our resources for these new apps. Once they are released, crypto will of course be on board!

With the crypto release, Parqet now supports the most traded investment forms in Germany. We are very excited about this important step and look forward to your feedback. As always, it's best to leave it in the release announcement in the community.
