The ability to share your portfolio with friends or other investors in just a few clicks is one of Parqet's most important core features. Currently, about every 20th portfolio on Parqet is set to public. Especially in online discussions, a shared portfolio is very helpful for exchanging investment strategies and thus lowering the barriers to wealth building. This is exactly Parqet's mission.

With today's update, the sharing feature becomes even more flexible: From now on, you can hide absolute values in a publicly shared portfolio, so that only relative changes and percentages are displayed. Other investors who view your portfolio will no longer know how much capital you have invested or how much your portfolio is currently worth. This allows you to discuss things like allocation or trends without any problems, without talking about specific investment amounts. Your portfolio overview will then look like this, for example:

We display the relative values everywhere it makes sense, such as in the allocation. Certain charts that don't make much sense with relative numbers (for example, the value development) are automatically hidden. The absolute numbers are obscured with a blur effect, whereby the actual values are not even loaded from the database 🔒.

How to Share Your Portfolio Publicly with Relative Values

You can find the new feature in your portfolio settings, just like before. In the dialog that opens, you can set your portfolio to public as before and then select "Only percentage values". Using the "View Preview" button, you can activate a preview mode to see how your portfolio is displayed to other users and guests. That's all there is to it!
