This is already quite a bit of data that Parqet users can create manually, but can also be extracted completely anonymously and automatically from PDF statements. What really sets Parqet apart from other tools is how it handles activities for new securities.

When a CSV or PDF file with a previously non-existent security is imported, this security must be clearly identified before these and further activities can be assigned. For this purpose, Parqet pulls together all information about the security (ISIN, name, WKN and/or symbol) to identify the security independently. With an ISIN, identification is simple, but a ticker symbol and a valid exchange still need to be found. Here too, Parqet makes it as easy as possible for the user and tries out a number of exchanges to automatically find a valid symbol.

It becomes particularly "magical" when you consider that Parqet identifies the complete security, including ISIN, WKN, valid symbol and historical prices, based on just one word. In the following example, we only type in terms without unique identifiers - and yet Parqet clearly identifies the security we're looking for.

All these capabilities provide all users with a simple, intuitive experience when creating and maintaining their portfolio. Drag in a file and you're done. This Zero-Click Import makes it possible, for example, to import 10 years of data from a Portfolio Performance file into Parqet within 1 minute. And Parqet doesn't stop at identifying a security. For Plus users, sector, market segment and country of the securities are also read out completely automatically. This enables automatic categorization and asset weighting across geography, markets and capital, which requires more intensive maintenance in other tools.
